Having never done yoga in his life before the age of 28, David was amazed at how much he enjoyed and connected with his first class. The combination of physical and mental balance that yoga provides made David an avid participant after taking his first class. When not on his yoga mat he works as a Youth Program Assistant with the non-profit Foundation Communities through their after-school care program. While there he provides a stable environment for children from low-income families to get homework help, engage in healthy fitness activities, and learn valuable life-skills. Eventually, David's love of yoga grew into a desire to teach it as well. After completing his 200-hour training to become a certified yoga instructor, he decided to merge his passions for both yoga and working with children by enrolling in the Children's Yoga Certification through The Little Yoga House. Now that he has joined the team, he is excited to bring his experience with child-care and yoga together with the TLYH community. In his spare time David enjoys taking classes at Austin Community College, where he is currently earning a certificate in American Sign Language. He also enjoys socializing with friends, as well as playing soccer and climbing.
