This is a Birth Preparation Series rooted in mindfulness, movement, and meditation; all vital components in fostering the mind-body connection. It is the connection between mind, body, and spirit that truly prepares a woman for Labor, Delivery, and Motherhood.
Beginning Friday, January 12th we will be offering the Prepared. Birth Series at The Little Yoga House. This series is 4 weeks in length and will meet on Fridays from 12:00 - 1:15 pm. Each class of this series is structured with a specific intention in mind. These set intentions weave their way throughout class in the form of discussion, breathwork, movement and meditation allowing you to fully embody the teachings of the class.
Each class will also include a guided take-home reference to allow you to continue your practice at home.
Class Intentions are focused on topics such as “The Connected Mind” which is the first class of the series. In this class, you will begin to understand and foster the practice of the mind-body connection.
This Birth Preparation Series is created and led by Jill Birt. Jill is a Registered Nurse and Certified Prenatal Yoga Teacher. Prior to stepping full time into teaching yoga, she worked as a labor and delivery nurse here in Austin for 15 years.
Class Dates: Jan 12, 19, Feb 2 & 9
Ideal for 28 weeks or more into pregnancy, but all stages welcome!
