Adult Aerial Yoga

These classes are an opportunity for our adult community to experience the amazing benefits of moving in our aerial hammocks. Each class is different in structure, but always ends with restorative poses and deep relaxation. We offer a variety of class styles and recommend trying them all out to decide whats best for you. Classes are limited to 6-8 students for a more intimate and personalized class. Aerial yoga is somewhat new to most people and we value quality and individualized attention so you have the most beneficial experience.

  • Strong:This class is a wonderful mix of strength and muscle toning, deep stretching, play time and an extra cozy relaxation. These classes move at a pace that is great for those looking for a full body workout. They are mixed level so our instructors will be able to meet you where you are!

Hammocks are hung at hip-height to allow full extension of the spine during inversions.

  • Flow: Our Aerial Flow classes link movements in the hammock with your breath and flow like a dance. The fluidity in this class allows the mind to calm, alleviating stress and tension throughout the body. This playful class is mixed levels! Hammocks are hung at hip-height to allow full extension of the spine during inversions.

*please note it may take a few classes to build the strength and coordination to move through the flows with ease, that being said this class is very accessable for all. We encourage you to come weekly to truly benefit from this powerful practice*

  • Slow Flow: In slow flow aerial yoga, we lower the hammocks to allows us to use the floor for extra support, giving us more opportunity to release tension. Many students recovering from an injury or older clients just getting into aerial yoga may find this notion of contact with the floor very appealing in the beginning. The practice is not as vigorous, we work on letting release happen. Many of us hold tension in certain areas of the body like the hips or shoulders. In our classes we try to find space and opening without pushing, we try to create a connection with our bodies and increase our awareness. This type of restoration of the body can boost the immune system and quiet the nervous system. A slower paced aerial yoga class can introduce students to a meditation practice and help students center themselves before heading back out into world.
  • Aerialaties: This class is a blend of Aerial Yoga and Pilates. Pilates is a wonderful way to strengthen and tone the body while focusing on proper alignment and core engagement. The hammocks will be used much in the same way as our Aerial Flow and Aerial Strong, but with a special emphasis on proper abdominal usage and spinal placement. All levels are welcome and whether you are taking your mat or aerial practice to the next level, Aerialaties is a great way to help get you ready for bigger more challenging poses.
