Stacey was born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY and moved to Austin 11 years ago. She discovered yoga in college as a way to complement her running routine, but it did a lot more that that! It didn’t take long for her to recognize the other benefits from a regular practice. In 2012 she took and completed her first RYT 200hr teacher training with East Side Yoga and was inspired to dive deeper into her practice and training. Stacey also completed a second RYT 200hr training with Sukha Yoga, a 30 hour training with Karma Kids Yoga and most recently The Little Yoga House kids training.
These trainings combined with her experience working for Americorps in college where she would read stories to the kids during their library hour and act out the story with them afterwards confirmed her desire to work with kids after witnessing how creativity and play helped bring them out of their shell and encouraged them in their development. Her passion for encouraging kids, creativity and yoga led to and continue to inspire her to teach kids yoga.
In addition to her passion for kids yoga Stacey works in the Casting Department for film and Television. She has always enjoyed the performance aspect of acting and make believe worlds of the projects that she works on which has helped hone her creative skills for teaching kids yoga. Her favorite auditions have always been with kids. Off the mat you can find her cooking, reading, binge watching TV shows, traveling, drinking butter coffee and living life to the fullest!
Stacey’s favorite pose is: Tree Pose/ Vrkasana & Half Pigeon Pose/ Eka Pada Rajakapotasana
