Kids Night Out Aerial Edition

The Little Yoga House’s Kid’s Night Out: Aerial Edition offers kids and tweens the opportunity unwind from the school week with a little aerial yoga and more. The night includes an aerial yoga class, pizza, movie and guided relaxation. All while parents sneak off to a nice, kid-free dinner.

Kids 1st grade through 8th grade welcome, teens by request. $55 per child

Date: Saturday, May 20th from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Kids Night Out

The more grounded version of Kid’s Night Out will take place the following Friday at the Clarksville location. The non-aerial version is suitable for younger kids too. As long as your sweet child is potty trained and over 3, they’re welcome to join the fun.

$35 per child

Shakespeare Comedy of Errors

Take the kids out for a little culture this spring with Austin Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors. Of course, Shakespeare is going to be tough for younger kids, but older kids should enjoy this comedy. If you’re worried it’ll go over your kids’ heads, it may be helpful to read a synopsis of the plot together in plain English before you go (here’s a quick one, but there are story books available on Amazon) There are several dates on the books for the last two weeks of May

This is a free event. Dogs on leashes OK.

Dates: May 19th, 20th, 21st, 25th, 26th, 27th, and 28th at 8 p.m.

Woodland Faerie Trail

The Annual Woodland Faerie Trail is returning for its fifth year of delighting children and adults alike. Here is the Do512 listing-- the official website hasn’t updated yet. Tour through the Zilker Botanical Gardens to view the homes and gardens of faeries and other mystical beasties, created by Austin area gardeners, architects, artisans, businesses, clubs, families, school groups, and others. The installations are there for two months and open to the public 12 hours a day, so you’ll have plenty of chances to take this magical nature walk.

$1-$3 admission

Dates: May 27th through July 30th from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Wild Walk Adventure

The Wild Walk Adventure: Creatures of the Night Tour gives kids the chance to learn about our unique central Texas ecosystem from a Master Naturalist in Lockhart State Park. Parents and kids can join the fun day-time hike through the park to learn more about the nightlife of area animals. Be prepared to learn about all kinds of creepy crawlies and maybe even see a few. This light hearted Saturday morning activity is suitable for school aged kids and starts at 10 a.m., so it’ll time out perfectly with grabbing a barbeque lunch before heading back to Austin.

Regular State Park entrance fees apply.
